Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia mengungkapkan bahwa Indonesia berpotensi mengalami surplus gas pada tahun 2026.
Oleh sebab itu, ia pun meminta kepada Djoko Siswanto selaku Kepala SKK Migas yang baru saja dilantik agar melakukan perhitungan terkait surplus tersebut dapat dilakukan secara detail dan dilaporkan secara jelas.
“Menyangkut gas, segera dihitung baik, berapa. Katanya tahun 2026 terjadi surplus, surplusnya di mana, segera sampaikan,” kata Bahlil pada saat acara pelantikan Kepala SKK Migas, dikutip Jumat (8/11/2024).
Selain itu, Bahlil juga meminta agar Djoko dapat mengidentifikasi lapangan gas yang mempunyai potensi kandungan campuran Propane (C3) dan Butane (C4). C3 dan C4 sendiri merupakan bahan baku dalam pembuatan Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
“Menyangkut dengan gas untuk bahan baku LPG C3 C4 di mana. Dan kita harus bangun industri nya, bekerja sama-sama Pertamina ataupun swasta nasional yang bisa melakukan,” ujarnya.
Lebih lanjut, Bahlil juga menyampaikan arahan khusus untuk pemegang konsesi Kontraktor Kontrak Kerja Sama (KKKS) yang gasnya akan mulai diproduksi pada periode 2026-2027. Menurutnya, 60% hingga 70% produksi gas dari KKKS yang dialokasikan untuk kebutuhan dalam negeri harus didorong untuk hilirisasi.
“Pak Djoko, kita akan 60% sampai 70% itu konsumsi nya dalam negeri. Harus didorong untuk hilirisasi. Karena ini perintah Bapak Presiden Prabowo,” katanya.
