Balai Bahasa Sulawesi Tenggara (BBST) memberikan bimbingan teknis (bimtek) kepada para pengajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing atau BIPA sebagai bentuk upaya internasionalisasi bahasa negara.
Sekretaris Daerah Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra) Asrun Lio di Kendari, Rabu, mengatakan bahwa kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pendalaman materi bagi pengembangan kurikulum pengajaran BIPA bagi para pengajar di Kota Kendari.
“Kegiatan in merupakan satu langkah maju, di mana para pengajar berkumpul dan diberikan bimbingan teknis agar ada keseragaman kurikulum dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khususnya bagi penutur asing,” katanya.
Ia menyebutkan bahwa Bahasa Indonesia telah diajarkan sejak lama di luar negeri. Hadirnya pengajar BIPA dan adanya pengembangan kurikulum merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan.
“Di Australia Bahasa Indonesia sudah menjadi bahasa kedua. Di Kamboja, bahasa Indonesia telah diajarkan di sekolah-sekolah. Peluang-peluang seperti ini harus kita percepat agar Bahasa Indonesia semakin mendunia,” ujarnya.
Asrun Lio berharap kegiatan bimbingan teknis itu ditindaklanjuti. Pemprov Sultra sendiri akan mendukung program-program BIPA di Bumi Anoa.
“Semoga setelah ini akan ada koordinasi sebagai tindak lanjut program BIPA, utamanya kepada perusahaan-perusahaan asing di Sultra,” ucapnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala BBST Uniawati menyampaikan bahwa pada dasarnya program BIPA adalah tonggak untuk meningkatkan fungsi Bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa internasional. Program BIPA merupakan upaya dalam mendukung globalisasi Bahasa Indonesia.
“Berkat upaya-upaya yang telah dilakukan Bahasa Indonesia telah menjadi bahasa resmi dalam sidang UNESCO. Tentu saja langkah kita tidak berhenti di situ saja, tetapi bagaimana Bahasa Indonesia harus lebih dikembangkan lagi,” jelas Uniawati.
Kegiatan bimtek itu dilaksanakan selama satu hari dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 57 orang. Peserta berasal dari beberapa instansi pendidikan, di antaranya UHO, IAIN, USN Kolaka, dan lembaga kursus di Kota Kendari. https://blog-posmetromanto.online
